We are looking to appoint a dynamic, organised and pro-active Careers and Guidance Advisor to develop and deliver our careers information, advice and guidance to students, both through 1-2-1 interviews and group tutorials. You will also lead on advising and supporting students with HE applications worldwide, including student finance advice. We place a high emphasis on applications to Oxbridge and Russell Group Universities so a knowledge of these is essential to support the high expectations of our students.
In addition, you will be responsible for developing and organising whole school careers enrichment activities such as University visits, employment and career fairs, year 9 and 11 options together with updating on-line career resources. You will also have experience of devising and delivering careers information, advice and guidance programmes. Having an awareness of current developments in careers and higher education as well as the ability to work and form effective partnerships with both internal staff and external agencies is essential.
Ideally you will possess a University Degree (or equivalent professional qualification) and/or Diploma in Careers Guidance Parts 1 and 2 or post Graduate Diploma in Careers Guidance with Qualification in Career Guidance or NVQ Level 4 in Guidance.
This is a non-teaching role, however applications are welcomed from teaching professionals who have moved into this specialist field.

Candidates will be required to come to Qatar for induction during the last week in August.
