Northgate High School is a mixed, comprehensive, non-denominational secondary school without sixth form situated in Dereham, Norfolk. It is an academy converter supported by a single-academy trust called Northgate High School Trust. A larger than average-sized secondary school, Northgate will provide 1280 places for secondary and sixth form students between the ages of 11-18 when fully subscribed.
Northgate High School gained academy status in September 2014.

Northgate High School is a specialist arts and humanities college in addition to its Artsmark Gold Award for achievement in the arts, two subjects of which form a strong part in the school’s balanced and broad curriculum.

“Students’ GCSE attainment has risen rapidly over the past two years and, overall, students reach average standards from below-average attainment on entry to the school. Leaders and managers at all levels have a clear focus on tracking students’ achievement, and the importance of this is understood well by staff. The monitoring of teaching is accurately based on a wide range of evidence, so that staff training needs are identified clearly. Students’ behaviour is good overall, and sixth form students have mature attitudes to learning.”
