We have an exciting opportunity for a Caretaker/Premises Manager within our growing and flourishing new school.

Goresbrook School opened in September 2014 and has made a tremendous start and will continue to grow each year. We are also looking forward to moving into a new state of the art building in 2016.

As we continue to grow we have a new position for a Caretaker/Premises Manager to manage all aspects of the school premises and facilities. This include general caretaking duties, managing the school cleaning team, ensuring buildings are maintained and that utilities are run effectively and efficiently.

This is very much a hands on role. It will involve maintaining and tidying the playground and opening and closing the school buildings at the start and end of the day. The role also involves acting as the health and safety co-ordinator, where you will lead on all aspects of health and safety, producing a variety of risk assessments and promoting a safe work place for staff and students as well as leading termly committee meetings.

The ideal candidate will need DIY/handyperson and health and safety experience in a similar role. Enthusiasm for working in a school environment is key as there will often be times where you will be interacting with children.

This is a newly created role within the school with significant potential for growth.

Goresbrook School is part of United Learning, one of the leading school groups in the country. This enables us to offer you unrivalled career development opportunities and support to ensure you achieve your ambitions.
