Salary: MPS/UPS 

We are looking for awesome supply teachers! 

As a supply teacher, you will be used on an ad-hoc basis to cover the role of a permanent teacher and you will most likely be used on a temporary basis. You may be required to work on a short-term or long-term basis dependant on the schools’ requirements.

Key Tasks: 

  • Prepare and deliver lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities. 
  • Mark work, give appropriate feedback and maintain records of pupils' progress and development. 
  • Research new topic areas, maintain up-to-date subject knowledge, and devise and write new curriculum materials as required. 
  • Prepare pupils for qualifications and external examinations as required. 
  • Manage pupil behaviour in the classroom and on school premises s per the school’s ‘relationships and behaviour policy’ and apply appropriate and effective measures in cases of misbehaviour. 
  • Communicate with parents and carers over pupils' progress as required. 

About You: 

  • Well-qualified graduate with appropriate degree. 
  • PGCE/Qualified Teacher Status. 
  • Experience with curriculum development work. 
  • Experience across the age and ability range. 
  • Ability to work in a team. 
  • Excellent classroom skills. 
  • Creativity and flexibility. 
  • Commitment to developing your practice as a teacher.
