Catering Manager

Hours: 10 per week

At Holwell Primary school we run our own successful school kitchen and have being doing so since April 2006! We are now looking to appoint another enthusiastic, caring and well-motivated team player to join our Catering and Mid-day supervisory team.

Ideally, the successful candidate will have excellent all-round experience in the preparation of large volume food in a fast-paced environment. However, this is not essential as full training in the job will be given. Previous catering experience would be advantageous but not essential. You will also be required to carry out general cleaning duties in addition to food preparation. You will need to be a team player as on occasion you will also assist with the duties in the mid-day supervisor's team.

Applicants should enjoy interacting with children and will be expected to support and encourage play activities whilst on the playground; to support the children to have an enjoyable experience in the dining room, whilst ensuring the Health and Safety of our children at all times. The ability to work in a team and to take the initiative when necessary is needed.

The hours initially, would be 10 per week from 11.30am until 1.30pm.

Holwell is a warm, welcoming school in Welwyn Garden City.
