The International School of Gabon Ruban Vert (ERV) in Libreville, Gabon has a vision of “Inspiring passion and developing international leadership through learning, to create a better world”

It offers an outstanding international education for Gabonese children, children from the international community and children in the sub-region. ERV aims to be a model of academic rigor and excellence with a solid foundation in general education. The students will be prepared for entry to universities of renown all over the world.

The school currently offers IPC (International Primary Curriculum) at Primary School level and IMYC for Middle School level but is preparing for a transition to the IB PYP curriculum. Ruban Vert offers International GCSE and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program to senior students. The school is transitioning to a full immersion bi-lingual (English/French) language offering at Primary School level.  This curriculum will allow the students to form strong foundations for their future, while also encouraging their personal development.

The school will provide a dynamic, creative and stimulating environment, which will foster an atmosphere of learning, allowing the students to develop their talents with a sense of integrity, compassion and respect. Performing arts, sports, service to the community, leadership skills, and cultural awareness will be essential parts of the school life.

The school is currently transitioning into a new state-of-the art facility in Libreville and is preparing to grow significantly over the next 5 years. In order to drive the growth and transformation of the school, it is looking for a CEO with significant experience in international school operations.

The CEO will report to the school board, and lead all the functions of the school including Administration, Finance, Admissions and Marketing and Academics.  This will include the supervision of the day-to-day running of the school undertaken by the School Director, direction of budgets and financial management and leading the marketing and branding of the school. The post holder, directed by the school’s board, will lead the school in the development into a highly-reputable school of excellence and a leading school in Africa.

About The International School of Gabon, Ruban Vert

The International School of Gabon, Ruban Vert Ecole (ERV) in Libreville, Gabon,caters for children of both genders aged from 3-18 and offers the PYP and IMYC curricula and the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. In January 2017, it added a Montessori section.

EVC's history dates to 2013 when it began as a small school offering a blend of bi-lingual, internationally focused education to a small number of children. Today, the school’s pupil roll is over 170 and growing rapidly. Places are awarded on merit. Students come from more than 32 different nationalities, with the largest groups being Gabonese, French, Indian and USA. Teachers from 18 nations creates a diversity which is celebrated and viewed as enriching the learning experience.

A programme of scholarships allows local Gabonese students accessibility to top-class education alongside children from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

ERV is an English-speaking school and offers French to students from Primary to Year 13. In Year 7, the first year of its secondary school, French is taught as the second foreign language. Spanish and Latin are also taught.

Covering an area of seven hectares, ERV facilities include a gymnasium offering a wide range of sports activities, a dance studio, an auditorium, tennis courts and squash courts and an IT room where our students can learn new technologies.
