We are looking to appoint a non-classed based Cluster Assistant Headteacher to work across two of our schools within the Caterham area.

Your opportunity

As a Cluster Assistant Headteacher, you will help to shape the future vision of the schools, promote excellence, equality and the highest expectations for our children and staff.

We are looking for a passionate and ambitious leader who is driven by a clear moral purpose. You must be able to mentor, coach, challenge and support our staff teams. You should expect to lead on a varied portfolio of responsibilities, with a focus on the quality of education to ensure that our offer meets the needs of every child; that all our assessment and data systems are robust and fit for purpose; and that we have a highly-skilled team of teachers through staff coaching and development.

The successful candidate will be a motivated middle leader who is now seeking promotion to the position of Assistant Headteacher, or who is an experienced Assistant Headteacher looking for their next career move into a large Trust with many progression opportunities. They will be an excellent classroom practitioner, who has the ability to share, model and demonstrate the key characteristics of effective teaching and learning and support the effective implementation of the aligned GLF curriculum. Leading positively, professionally and enthusiastically, you will support us in maintaining high standards across the schools and within the Cluster.

About the Schools

Hillcroft Primary School and Marden Lodge Primary School all sit within a cluster of Primary schools, known as Chalklands, overseen by a Regional Director. The cluster also includes the following other schools; Warlingham Village Primary School, Whyteleafe Primary School and Chestnut Park Primary School.

About Marden Lodge Primary School

Welcome to Marden Lodge Primary School, part of GLF Schools. We are an all through primary school with the additional benefit of day care on site which includes full wrap around care, including breakfast and after school provision. The school is situated on a pleasant site on the outskirts of Caterham and integrates all phases of learning. Our outdoor facilities include a playing field, adventure playground, a covered heated swimming pool and a large playground.
