Job overview

We have a vision - that each academy within the DSAT family should become an outstanding, distinctive, Christian learning community - achieving world class provision in all aspects of school and academy life, built on a foundation of Christian values.

We are a growing Trust, with five Primary Academies and a further two joining us in the summer. We have aspirations to grow further, but only where we believe we are able to bring benefit and make a real difference. The time is right for us to appoint a substantive Chief Executive Officer to lead us forward into this exciting future.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO WILL

  • be a leader driven by commitment to creating the best possible education opportunities for young people within the DSAT, in order to raise aspirations and transform lives
  • work closely with the Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement the strategic vision of the Trust
  • to work as an outstanding leader to provide senior and strategic leadership for all DSAT staff
  • be able to actively facilitate partnership working both within and beyond the immediate Trust family
  • work with and support the Board of Directors in ensuring good governance and accountability at all levels and across all areas of operation of the Trust
  • act as an advocate for and public face of DSAT, using influencing skills to maximise the profile of the organisation and promote the organisations core purpose and values,
  • provide courageous spiritual and strategic leadership
