Job overview

The Governors seek to appoint an excellent, enthusiastic teacher, with proven successful teaching experience to join our warm and friendly team. The post is not suitable for an NQT. Thorpe Hall Primary is a good school which expanded from 2 to 3 forms of entry in September 2014. We are lucky to have a brand new building and fantastic outdoor space which reflects our creative curriculum. The School has International School Status and values global links.

The successful applicants will be good or outstanding practitioners, and be responsible for co-ordinating one of the following areas:

  • the provision of PE across the school, ensuring that pupils take advantage of the opportunities within the Waltham Forest School Sport Network. The post will also require an overview of the Sport Premium funding, and the promotion of a Healthy life style.
  • the provision of ICT, implementing the new curriculum and the use and development of new technology and ICT resources in school.
  • provision of Creative Arts including art and display, music, dance etc.

We also welcome applications from candidates who have an area of expertise that has not been mentioned but would be of value to the school. We offer Leadership and Management opportunities and CPD.
