Job overview

CLASS TEACHERS TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO OTHER SCHOOLS

THE GREET TEACHING SCHOOL ALLIANCE

Are you an excellent primary teacher?

Are you seeking a great career opportunity in Birmingham?

The Greet Teaching School Alliance (Greet TSA) is seeking two full-time teachers from September 2015 to provide external support as class teachers placed in schools that we are supporting. The posts are permanent and contracted to Greet Primary School as a National Support School but the roles will be outward-facing.

You will have some experience as a qualified primary teacher and feel confident and independent in working in a school where there may be challenges; for example it may be in special measures or have some identified vulnerability. You are likely to be placed in a school for a year although it could be for a shorter or a longer period, depending on the particular needs of the school. But you won’t be left alone! Greet TSA is building a team of people to provide this vital work but backed up by strong pastoral support and networking and a commitment to extra CPD every month which will include visits to other schools and specialist training.

This is a job with moral purpose and one which will give you excellent career development opportunities. The job is to work as a class teacher without leadership responsibilities (although if successful applicants wish to develop their leadership skills, we will encourage them to do so). You will play a full part in the client school with PPA time, taking part in CPD and following school policy.

Closing date: Wednesday 13 May 2015 at 9am.

Visits to Greet and the TSA can be arranged by contacting Shirley Queenan, Business Manager. Please contact s.queenan.greettsa@greet.bham.sch.uk or on 0121 303 1587 for further information or to arrange an informal discussion with Executive Headteacher, Pat Smart or Teaching School Manager, Emma Arnott.
