Who we are looking for
Class Teachers have responsibility within the content of CfE, for the provision of high quality, autism specific education and development, and ensuring that the quality of teaching and learning meets statutory requirements.

Monday to Friday 35 hours per week

The aims of the school are to:
• provide high quality education and care for all the children and young people in a stimulating, safe, structured and

the National Priorities for Education in Scotland

communicate about matters affecting their lives
• develop an assessment process to enable parents, professionals and young people to make informed judgments

with the child or young person
• implement appropriate aspects of co-ordinated support plans for all children and young people in conjunction with
local authority personnel to ensure that they are offered a range of educational and social opportunities tailored to
effectively meet their needs
• provide a lifelong educational approach to ensure children and young people, where possible, can become active
citizens and contribute to the community in which they live
• undertake a rigorous process of quality assurance, using national performance measures to deliver best value in
all aspects of service delivery
• enhance the knowledge and skills of all school staff through involvement in a continuing programme of personal
and professional development, support and training
• make available the wider specialist knowledge and skills of the NAS.
