Job overview

Class Teachers – EYFS, KS1 & KS2

There are few things which are likely to have more impact on a young person's future than the quality of the school they attend. So we work hard to ensure that everyone who sends their child to the BSN is happy with that choice.

It is our belief that every child deserves the very best start in life and we make it our purpose to provide just that to all the children who enter our doors. We endeavour to provide the best possible teaching and curriculum; we want every child to make progress and achieve the very best they can; but most of all we want the children at the BSN to be happy and enjoy their life with us.

Established back in 1931 The British School in The Netherlands has a tradition of quality. The school was founded on the principles of developing and challenging the whole individual – 'head, hand & heart' – producing students with high aspirations and confident independence.

We pride ourselves on the fostering of strong values: mutual understanding, respect for others and high personal endeavor form part of our students' everyday lives. Being part of the BSN is about more than school work though. We try to offer our students a treasure chest of worthwhile and exciting experiences which they can carry with them for the rest of their lives.

We are seeking full-time, enthusiastic and committed Class Teachers to join our talented and successful teams. We have positions available in Early Years Foundation Stage, KS1 and KS2.

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate an outstanding teaching ability and an up to date knowledge of the English National Curriculum and Assessment for Learning (it is essential that candidates have 2+ years teaching experience). A willingness to work collaboratively and plan across the curriculum to meet the needs of all learners is essential as is the desire to work closely with parents and to support school events.
