Job overview

We are looking to recruit a class teacher. This can be for a KS1 or a KS2 class for the right candidate.

We require someone who:

  • Is an inspirational, forward-thinking teacher who enables learners to become the best they can be
  • Is able to go ‘that extra mile’ because you put the children first
  • Is enthusiastic and positive every day
  • Can make parents feel really welcome
  • Is willing and able to be committed to the wider life of the school
  • Has high expectations of learning and behaviour

Corby Old Village Primary School is a small village school set within the heart of the historic Corby Old Village. We are a creative and dynamic staff team, who pride ourselves on the excellent behaviour and family ethos of the school. In February 2012, we were graded as ‘good’ by Ofsted and we would love to hear from anyone who wishes to join us on our journey to ‘outstanding’.

Interested? Then please pop in and see our lovely school – just call and make an appointment (so we can pop the kettle on and make sure the biscuit tin is full!).

Corby Old Village Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our children and staff. An enhanced DBS check is required for the successful candidate and references will be taken up for short listed candidates prior to interview.

About Corby Old Village Primary School

Corby Old Village Primary School was built in 1913, occupies the site of the old school which dates back to 1834. It is the oldest school in Corby and for years served the surrounding villages as well as Corby itself.

It is situated in what is now known as “Corby Old Village”. It is a solid brick building built in a U-shape and has extensive grounds. These include a football pitch, a large tarmac playing area, a car park, a patio with flowers and shrubs, a planted mini-wood, a wild area, and a quiet garden. It is enclosed with interesting stone walls and hedges.
