Wendell Park Primary is a welcoming and friendly school that offers a stimulating environment for all its children and staff.  It is a diverse, two form entry school offering a full curriculum and extended services in the form of a breakfast club and after school care.

More about the school

We have a dedicated and talented team of teachers and support staff who nurture the children from Nursery to Year 6 and ensure progress at every stage.  This includes a range of specialist staff: a PE teacher, dedicated music teacher and MFL teacher.

Every child’s progress in the core subjects is monitored rigorously and their efforts and achievements are reflected in our steadily improving SATs results.

The school offers a broad and inspiring curriculum enriched with activities that include our annual Year 5 Shakespeare production, celebration of Black History Month and International Women’s Day.  We also offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities including after-school clubs such as, choir, art, football, cooking, tennis and music tuition.

There are excellent facilities, well organised play times and, as the school overlooks Wendell Park, access to ample outdoor space.  The facilities also include a Foundation Stage creative outdoor learning space, a sensory garden, dedicated art room, Science room, music room and library.  Wendell Park Primary has an active and supportive parent-teacher association which organises a range of fundraising events including our annual summer and winter fairs, an Eid celebration and our popular annual talent show “The W Factor”.
