About Edmund Waller Primary School

Out of many – one school
Out of one school – many achievements

We aim for Edmund Waller to be a school where achievement, in its broadest sense, is celebrated, creativity is championed and all our children enjoy attending.

We aim to provide an ethos and inclusive curriculum which rejoices in diversity and we strive to ensure that all the children who come to this school find that what they bring to their learning is cherished.  We want Edmund Waller to be a school that is a safe and caring, energizing and inspiring place which celebrates who they are and what they can all achieve.

We aim for our children to leave Edmund Waller with the ability to take on the demands of secondary education, and those of an increasingly technological world, with enthusiasm and an appetite for learning that will remain with them for the rest of their lives.

We especially want our children to become responsible global citizens with a caring attitude towards the environment and who are able to make healthy lifestyle choices. Furthermore we aim for our children to develop into young people who believe in themselves and who are confident, fair minded and inquisitive.

For all this to become a reality we have to ensure equality of opportunity and respect are at the forefront of everything we do. We need to demonstrate a commitment to value and develop the skills of everybody who works in and with the school community. Ultimately we must ensure an ethos prevails throughout the school that with hard work, ambition and determination our children can achieve anything they put their minds to.
