Job overview

Holy Trinity C of E Primary School is situated in Rothwell. Our school has a strong sense of community, which is built around our core value of love. We live out our vision Love, Believe, Achieve on a daily basis. As an inclusive and single form entry school, we pride ourselves on knowing our children and families as individuals. We ensure that all our children feel valued and able to achieve their full potential. We are incredibly proud of the acknowledgement and recognition of this from Ofsted, who graded us as good in our last inspection.

As a Class Teacher at Holy Trinity you will be an integral part of our community. You will be joining the school at an exciting time, with development opportunities on the horizon.

You will play a fundamental role in ensuring our pupils are offered as many opportunities as possible, to embrace their personal strengths both inside and outside the classroom. You will support our pupils in developing positive attitudes to learning, and the skills and knowledge they need to be safe, successful, and healthy.

In return you will be joining a school who truly live out the phrase “small school, big heart”, as above all we care, and in partnership, we enable all to flourish. As a school that regularly supports students on university placements and the induction of Early Careers Teacher’s (ECT), we are open and interested in applications from all Teachers including newly qualified Teachers and will provide you with the personalised support needed for the next stage of your career.

We are looking for talented individuals who can:

  • As a Teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), share and support the school’s responsibility to secure the highest possible standards of learning and pupil progress.
  • Enthusiastically deliver an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum to our pupils, in accordance with the aims and ethos of the school.
  • Demonstrate in depth knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Hold high expectations, which inspire, motivate, and challenge our pupils.
  • Perform as a Team-player who can develop positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
  • Support the Trust’s Christian ethos as well as our shared mission and values.

What our Trust can offer:

  • Friendly, welcoming academies with a strong Christian ethos
  • Enthusiastic, well-motivated colleagues
  • A 24/7, confidential Employee Assistance Programme providing support and counselling for home-life and work-related issues, financial and legal support, specialist information and support for managers.
  • Free secure onsite parking
  • Membership of a pension scheme

About Holy Trinity Rothwell C of E Academy

Holy Trinity CofE Academy is a small, caring and inclusive single form entry primary school located in Rothwell, South Leeds. The school became an academy in 2014, joined Abbey Multi Academy Trust in 2017, and has strong links within the local community.

We are incredibly proud that Ofsted recognised us as a ‘good’ school at our last inspection (June 2019). We are even prouder that our strong sense of community, in which all our children feel valued and are able to achieve their full potential, was also acknowledged.

On a daily basis the school lives out the phrase “small school big heart”, our strong sense of community, and the importance we place on relationships, is evident in how we work closely with: other schools within our Trust and within our local area; with external agencies and with our school families. We value our relationships with our parents and carers, the contribution they make to school life and recognise that effective partnerships are essential.

We know that every child is unique and offer our pupils as many opportunities as possible to embrace their personal strengths both inside and outside the classroom. We challenge our pupils in their learning and help them to develop positive attitudes to learning, and the skills and knowledge they need to be safe, successful and healthy.
