Job overview

We know that exceptional primary practitioners are in high demand which is why we are offering a recruitment and retention bonus of £2,000 for the right candidate (£1,000 payable upon joining, and £1,000 payable after 1 year's service).

Peninsula East Primary Academy has a vacancy for a Class Teacher to join their team from September 2024. We are a successful, thriving, and growing academy located in the beautiful village of Allhallows in Medway. If you would like to be part of a team that shares a strong belief that all students deserve a world-class education, then join us as we strive to offer our pupils the very best at their local community school. We want our students to leave our primary school as well-rounded, lifelong learners and global citizens who are ready for secondary school and beyond - and we know the importance of recruiting staff members who can bring this to fruition.

We are receptive to both experienced teachers and ECTs looking to kickstart their career. It would be desirable for our successful candidate to teach KS2, but are open to candidates who would like to teach either KS1 or 2.

At Peninsula East Primary Academy, we have already and will continue to:

  • develop many close links within the village and on the Peninsula that further enriches the curriculum offered to our children.
  • offer a wealth of co-curricular clubs for our children after school as we feel that it is important that they have the opportunity to further extend their knowledge and expand their cultural capital
  • deliver innovative teaching and learning through our broad, balanced and inclusive curriculum and have recently received the accolade of becoming a World School for the International Baccalaureate
  • develop our digital offer to our children. Our children in Key Stage 2 each have access to their very own Chromebook which enables them to take ownership over their own learning and means that they are able to challenge themselves further

This is a full-time, permanent position offering MPS, commensurate with experience. For the right candidate, there is the potential to offer middle leadership opportunities from September onwards.

Do you know a great teacher who would like to hear about opportunities with Leigh Academies Trust? If so, make a referral today for the chance to receive £100 as a 'thank you'. Simply complete the referral form by clicking here. T&C's apply.
