Values and Vision

The Watchfield school vision is “Unique and successful. For now and forever”. It defines its core values as care, respect, happiness, belief, confidence and pride. These values are promoted all round the school and are central to learning. The school provides a caring and safe environment, but also one that challenges children and encourages them to reach their full potential. Watchfield sees itself as being at the heart of a wide community, and encourages students to become responsible citizens as much as successful learners and creative thinkers.

Watchfield also prides itself on being a diverse school, with pupils from 58 different countries speaking 38 different languages.

Ofsted

“Staff and pupils relish the opportunities for self-development provided within the school. Teachers effectively review their own practice, making good use of the educational research. [The school has] developed pupils’ ability to identify and employ the learning approaches that work best for them. Consequently, they embark upon the work that teachers set with confidence and zest.”
