St John's RC Academy is at the heart of the North Inch Community Campus, providing education for children and young people from nursery through to secondary sixth year.

The facilities include 3 & 4 court games halls, all weather pitch, dance studio, fitness suite, drama facilities, recording studio and a public library, as well as state of the art teaching areas and an integrated support base to support pupils and families.

The school has a peaceful setting, close to the banks of the River Tay, at the top of the North Inch, with outstanding views to Highland Perthshire.

The continuing success and development of our school is built on the partnership which exists between parents, staff and pupils.

The education of our pupils is the central task of all who work in St John's RC Academy.

For further information, please contact the school on 01738 454000.

Please note the successful applicant will be required to attain the necessary paperwork from www.sces.uk.com to obtain approval from the Catholic Church Authorities.

Please note, should you be invited to attend interview, you will be asked to provide 2 references. Therefore, when completing your application for this post, please ensure you provide contact details for two referees. One should be your current or most recent employer. If you are already employed as a teacher with Perth & Kinross Council, you are only required to provide 1 reference, which must be from your current head teacher.

As Perth & Kinross Council operates an open reference policy, the onus will be on you to provide us with your references. You should print off the job profile and reference form and give them to your referees for completion. (An alternative is to save it and e-mail it to your referees). It is also important to include the reference number of the post on the proforma. The references should then be presented to the chair of the interview panel when you attend.

Please APPLY ONLINE. Facilities are available at all public libraries in Perth and Kinross. If you have a disability and require reasonable adjustments, please call 01738 475000 to discuss.

Closing date: 02/08/2015.
