NeneGate School is a Special School (age range 8-16 years) for students with a primary Social, Emotional and Mental health need. Our vision is to offer a nurturing school environment, enabling all our learners to feel safe and thrive. We seek to prepare our students to move on to the next stage of their education as successful, confident, resilient young people, who can make a positive difference to society.
There is an exciting opportunity to join this flourishing special school, as we are looking for a suitably qualified and experienced teacher with a specialism in English who is able to oversee the curriculum from Years 4 to 11.
While experience in special education is not essential, we do expect an understanding of the needs of our pupils and a willingness to learn more about these.
The successful candidate will:
· Be a qualified, dynamic and engaging teacher.
· Have the character and confidence to inspire both pupils and colleagues.
· Be prepared to get involved in every aspect of school life, including outdoor and active learning experiences.
· Be keen to develop their professional knowledge and skills and be proactive in seeking out opportunities to do so.
