Job overview

Temporary fixed term in the first instance until end of summer term 2015 for 20 hours per week.

We require an experienced school cleaner/maintenance operative who can work to a schedule. The position is general cleaning of a school to the highest of standard.

The position is part time working Monday to Friday 6.30am-8.00am AND 3.30pm-6.00pm a total of 20 hours per week during term time, these times are fixed and not flexible. For the right candidate we can offer a fast start.

You must be very willing to relate well to all members of our diverse, multicultural academy community. You must also be professional reliable and polite in order to provide a good role model for our children.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

Applicants must be prepared to undergo stringent child protection screening including checks with past employers and CRB checks.

Contract: temporary fixed term in the first instance until end of summer term 2015 for 20 hours per week.

Those applicants that are successful at shortlisting will be invited for interview on Friday 24th April. 2015.

About us
Opening in January 2012, E-ACT Blackley Academy is free to all children aged between four and eleven years.

E-ACT Blackley Academy replaces Victoria Avenue Primary School and represents an exciting development in education for Blackley.

Becoming an academy means we will be independent of Manchester City Council, with greater freedom to focus teaching and resources where they are really needed.

We will be creating an inspiring new curriculum, which will help each child discover and pursue the things he or she is especially good at. There is strong emphasis on numeracy and literacy too: essential skills for everyone.
