Swanshurst is a very successful and innovative Specialist Science College for girls with 1800 students on roll aged 11-19 years.  We have outstanding students and together with our staff our aim is to always provide an outstanding education for each and every one of them, so that every student is given the opportunity to achieve and fulfill their full potential.

Our large Mathematics department is currently seeking an ambitious, well-motivated and capable teacher with a passion for Mathematics who will play a key role in the leadership and management of the department and has the highest of professional standards. The successful candidate will be expected to teach across the age and ability range of the school and will demonstrate the ability to inspire excellent results from our students.

You will:

  • be an outstanding and inspirational classroom teacher, engaging students in a lively and innovative way;
  • have the ability to develop the teaching practice of others;
  • be able to work as part of a team;
  • aspire to lead a department and a desire to develop your skills as a future leader;
  • influence vision, policy and practice, driving forward departmental teaching and learning and helping support the needs of all of our students.
