We are seeking to appoint a talented individual with a flair for leadership and innovation, as well as a clear commitment to driving progress and raising attainment in science across all Key Stages. The ideal candidate would demonstrate exemplary subject knowledge and curriculum awareness, a robust understanding of data and its’ application to bridge gaps in performance. You will also illustrate a passion for Science and a desire to make it accessible to all students. It is essential that you are an outstanding classroom practitioner and an enthusiastic educationalist capable of providing inspirational leadership.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Harris Federation in a role which will lead to further professional growth for the right candidate.

You will be strategic in leading the subject through curriculum design, developments in teaching strategies and the innovative use of technology to create an environment where every classroom offers outstanding provision to all students.

A background in pastoral leadership is desirable which will enable the post holder to effectively lead and be responsible for a team of tutors and students ensuring outstanding pastoral provision and monitoring of academic progress across all year groups to establish an ethos of success.

Harris Academy Merton is an 11-18 co-educational Academy for 1,500 students. The Academy opened in September 2006 on the site of the predecessor school.
