This post requires you to provide medical support including the administration and monitoring  of medications, sexual health advice and intervention including external  referral, and act as the primary point of contact and advice regarding  medical issues for students, parents/carers/guardians and external  partners. You will act as the key point of contact within Student Support  Services regarding medically related issues and provision across the  Hadlow Group. You need to  ensure systems are in place and managed effectively to  ensure an effective and efficient  support service in accordance with the  aims of the College mission statement.

You will need to hold a Degree or Diploma in Nursing and be a Registered Nurse with the KCC.

Minimum Level 2 English and Maths is required.  Evident understanding of Kent NHS Clinical Governance is essential, as is an understanding of Kent NHS Clinical Governance.
Knowledge of post 16-education provision is desirable, but not essential

About West Kent and Ashford College

West Kent College is a mixed, non-denominational further and higher education college in Kent, serving students from the age of 16 and above. The college has campuses in Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells.

West Kent College was founded in 2014 after K College’s six campuses were split into two units. The Tonbridge and Tumbridge Wells sites and the two sites in Ashford were taken over by the Hadlow College Group – making two campuses West Kent College and Ashford College. A third campus, East Kent College, has taken over the Folkestone and Dover sites. West Kent College offers courses at GCSE level to Degree programmes, which are validated by the University of Kent, University of Greenwich and Cantebury Christ Church University. Facilities include radio studios, hair and beauty training salons, a training restaurant, music recording studios and photography studios.
