The role:
You will manage and provide academic leadership and curriculum development of the Contextual Studies strands for the Fine Art programme comprising BA Drawing, BA Painting, BA Photography and BA Sculpture.

Your duties will include delivering introductory lectures to students across Fine Art and within one of the specialist BA courses, studio teaching, delivery of dissertation studies, scheduling, organising and directing activities as well as working with administrative support to ensure effective communications with students and maintenance of student files.

Your profile:
We will look to you to provide inspirational teaching, develop the curriculum and undertake research in Fine Art practice. Possessing a demonstrable and developing research record, you will be regarded as a leading authority in the field by both internal and external peers.

From building strong links with those in related practices and industries, to keeping up with the very latest developments in your subject, you will bring to us a thorough understanding of the issues relating to theory, practice and research in fine art education.

You will ideally have a postgraduate degree in a relevant field and substantial undergraduate teaching experience. Knowledge of international practices and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively with the skill to develop team members are essential, as well as the experience of contributing to long term planning and development of learning programmes and engagement in pedagogical research.
