Job overview

Uxbridge College is a highly successful Further Education College situated in West London. We achieved the grade of ‘Outstanding’ in our last Ofsted inspection (May 2008).

GCSE English is delivered by a centrally co-ordinated team across the College. We are now seeking to recruit a GCSE English Course Team Leader to co-ordinate the delivery of GCSE English and lead a team of Lecturers.

You will need to possess a relevant degree and an advanced level teaching qualification. You should also have at least three years’ relevant teaching experience including successful experience of delivering GCSE English and an excellent knowledge of the subject area. You should be able to supervise and motivate the team, and have previous experience of this type of work within an education environment. You should also have the ability to work effectively with other curriculum teams and advise on the embedding of English in the College.
