Our school is like no other.  You will hear messages about what state education can be like that you will not hear at any other school in the Doncaster area.  A bold claim!

Our Catholic school community has a shared understanding that God has given everyone unique gifts.  As such, our job is to help realise and then nurture those gifts whatever they may be, wherever they are yet to be found.

Our Job is to give children the opportunity to shine in whatever they do.

The way we do this is by firstly ensuring that children feel safe and secure in school by having firm and high expectations of social and learning behaviours.  We also value the vital contribution that parents make to this important task.  This we believe is the starting point in beginning to build community and achieve success.

Our community is built upon the creation of exceptionally strong relationships supportive between every adult and child and the role of form tutor is key to this.  There relationships are uniquely forged in Form worship, celebrating Mass, attending liturgies and performing acts of charity.

We insist upon excellence from all members of our community including the search for and development of faith.  We are proud of our excellent reputation, which is built good exam results and the way we structure learning allows us to know each child as an individual, enabling them to realise their God-given potential.

We are a Catholic Voluntary Academy catering for approximately 1,700 students in the 11-18 age range.  The school exists to serve the Roman Catholic community within a wide catchment area, based largely on the Doncaster Roman Catholic Deanery, in the Diocese of Hallam.    We are a split-site school, and comprises of one on Acacia Road and another 200 metres away on Cantley Road which also includes the 6th Form Centre. There is movement between sites to enable students to access specialist facilities and rooms that are appropriate to the sizes of teaching groups.  Despite its split-site nature, the school functions as an integrated unit and we are proud to retain our identity as one school community.

We are a Catholic school committed to providing distinctive and supportive education for children and families from all social and religious backgrounds and our community is made up of professionals of the same with a strong commitment to live and support our ethos.

Our school Motto is “I have come that they may have life and have it to the full” John 10:10 which is supported by our mission statement which includes the phrase “to be the best person they can be”.  Each individual is challenged and nurtured.

McAuley is, unique and distinctive amongst other schools including Catholic schools and would encourage you to visit the school to help you see and feel that.
