Curriculum Leader – English

We are seeking to appoint a Curriculum Leader for English.  As an outstanding practitioner and subject expert, you will lead by example, taking responsibility for developing the curriculum and the delivery of English, ensuring pupils achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will lead and inspire the department to execute a well-considered curriculum through high quality and evidence-based teaching practices, within a climate that is underpinned by high expectations. The Curriculum Leader will play a key role in facilitating high standards of teaching and learning by guiding subject specific opportunities for professional development.

We are keen to hear from candidates who will:

• Take the lead in inspiring and motivating the English team to deliver strong outcomes.
• Be responsible for continuously improving the quality of teaching and learning across the department.
• Be responsible for developing a well-considered curriculum that supports pupil understanding and success across both Key Stage 3 and 4.
• Be responsible for monitoring pupil progress in English.
• Make a significant contribution to all aspects of the wider English curriculum and enrichment provision provided by the department.
