Job overview

A unique opportunity for a pioneering spirit

The EBN Academy opened in September 2012 and is an Alternative Provision

Free School that has been established by the 12 secondary schools in the East Birmingham Network and was the first of its kind in the country. The academy caters for students aged 13-16 for whom mainstream education is no longer appropriate and a different type of educational experience is necessary to change the outcome for these students. The EBN Academy is awaiting its first Ofsted inspection but has been inspected twice in the last year by the DfE and by commissioned Ofsted Inspectors who have judged the school, as a good school with outstanding features.

Due to the success of EBN Academy Phase 1, the EBN Trust has been given the green light by the DfE to open EBN Academy Phase 2 and is currently in the preopening stage for a September 2015 opening.

The EBN Trust is looking to recruit a Curriculum Leader of Maths for EBN Academy Phase 2 to support the Head of School.
