The Role
Focussing and leading on raising standards of Maths and English across the whole College, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring learner outcomes are improved, higher grades achieved and enhanced distance travelled for English & Maths GCSEs, functional skills and “stepping stone” qualifications.

As well as ensuring consistent implementation of compliance quality frameworks you will play a key role is shaping the teaching, learning and assessment strategy, identifying areas of strength and, were improvements are required, helping to shape the professional development required to deliver improvements. You will also help to build and develop a successful Maths & English team.

The Person
Experienced in creative, innovative and up to date teaching and learning delivery, effective strategies for staff development and improvement and with an up to date knowledge of Maths & English delivery the successful candidate will also be:

  • Experienced in successful course and curriculum development and planning relevant to English & Maths.
  • Able to build and maintain relationships with external providers and stakeholders.
  • Professionally qualified in a relevant discipline.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and successfully manage and develop a team of staff.
  • Committed to the safeguarding and wellbeing of our students.
