Required for 2nd November to join our dynamic, growing team:

Part time Daycare Assistant (Afternoons 20.5 hours/week, Term Time Only), NVQ3, Grade 4 point 11-13

We are looking for a very caring, enthusiastic and committed practitioner to join our Chameleon Club team. Chameleon Club is our daycare provision at Lydalls and is open all year round.

Lydalls is a 120 place Nursery (60 FTE) with a Headteacher, Teaching staff, Nursery Nurses, Teaching Assistants and the Governing Body all working together to provide high quality Early Years education for all our young children. Our section 5 Ofsted inspection (June 2013) praised the high quality individual care provided by all staff and commented that children feel safe, secure and very happy in our Nursery. Our Chameleon Club Early Years Ofsted Inspection (Sept 2014) commented that the leadership and management team are exceptional and have clear focus on how to drive improvements within the setting and that partnerships with parents are strong and effective, and ensure that parents are kept well informed.

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Be a key person for a group of 2 and 3 year old children
  • Contribute to providing an inclusive, responsive, nurturing and stimulating environment for children aged 2-5 as part of the Chameleon Club and Nursery team
  • Work in partnership with families/carers, the local community and other professionals
  • Promote Lydalls Nursery School’s vision and values

Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, candidates will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
