Vision for Education is working in partnership with Milton Keynes College who are a leading Further Education College providing a comprehensive range of vocational, academic, professional and higher education courses. The College also delivers the Offender Learning and Skills Service (OLASS) Phase 4 contracts for East Midlands, West Midlands and South Central, providing education to 28 prisons across these 3 regions.

As a member of our offender learning leadership team you will:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to drive improvements in teaching learning and assessment, to deliver an outstanding student experience and, in doing so, improve student success;
  • Inspire and challenge staff, creating a dynamic culture of enterprise, innovation and outstanding teaching, learning and assessment;
  • Work collaboratively with the Offender Learning leadership teams, to create and deliver enabling and fit for purpose quality assurance and improvement processes and systems.

As a successful candidate you will have:

  • Determine and develop the Offender Learning Quality Strategy to ensure an inspiring, innovative and stimulating learner experience;
  • Establish and maintain an infrastructure that ensures quality improvement and quality assurance systems necessary to achieve outstanding status
  • Lead on the teaching and learning observation process as a tool to drive improvements and share best practice to impact on learner success, progression, destinations and value added;
  • Lead on sharing best practice, maximising the impact of the expertise within the Offender Learning Team
  • Be accountable for the planning, setting, monitoring and delivery of the budget ensuring excellent value for money;
  • Provide overall leadership including planning and coordination in response to external assessment including inspection and accreditations / kitemarks;
