Preston Manor is a successful, oversubscribed, all-through Co-operative School in the highly diverse London borough of Brent. We are a large community which is continuing to grow as our Lower School fills with an anticipated 1980 students on roll in September 2015. (420 Reception, KS1 and KS2; 1260 KS3 and KS4, 300 KS5). We achieve very strong academic results and are ready to move the whole school to outstanding.

Following the promotion to headship of an existing colleague we are seeking to appoint a dynamic, committed and innovative professional to join the effective and forward-looking Upper School leadership team at our secondary provision.

The successful applicant will have a proven record of successful school leadership and the flexibility to complement the skills and experience of other team members. They will be expected to build on existing excellent practice, as well as leading developments in one or more whole school areas such as Safeguarding, Learning & Teaching, Finance, Premises Strategy, Appraisal, Curriculum Design and Self Evaluation. The specific brief will be negotiated on appointment.

Preston Manor School is a mixed, non-denominational, all-through state school with academy status, based in Wembley, north-west London, for children aged 4-18. It is a member of the family of Co-operative Trust Schools. It is a large school with approximately 1,900 pupils. Situated within a multicultural community, the school offers additional support for pupils who speak English as an additional language. Diversity and tolerance is a key message in its ethos.
