Deputy Head of Primary

Role description:

The Deputy Head is responsible for delivering the highest standard of education and pastoral care in Primary. As a member of the senior leadership team, he/she will be expected to work closely with the CEO and his team to contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the Primary School.

Main duties:

·        Provide leadership in the delivery of the curriculum as well as teaching and learning

·        Set and communicate high expectations of the quality of teaching, learning and assessment throughout Primary

·        Implement and develop schemes and policies to improve the teaching and learning

·        Promote and participate in ongoing professional development

·        Have the desire to work in a forward thinking international school

·        Be creative, determined, enthusiastic and resilient

Role requirements:

·        Experience in school leadership settings eg. currently a Key Stage Leader/Head of Department/Teacher with 5-8 years of teaching experience with leadership aspirations will be considered

·        Educational expertise and a proven track record of developing and sustaining high academic standards

·        Ability and expertise to lead strategically as part of the Leadership Team

·        A cultural understanding and ethos to lead staff and students to continually strive for excellence

·        A belief in and a commitment to leading with emotional intelligence
