Job overview

We are proud of our Science team at Lilian Baylis Technology School. At KS3 the Science team has developed a highly praised Science curriculum that engages students through the use of relevant contexts, practical work and project days. At KS4 we offer a full range of courses including GCSE Triple and Double Science and BTEC Science.

You will be an outstanding classroom teacher who is eager to try new ideas in a supportive environment. You will be keen to improve literacy in Science supported by the whole school INSET programme.

You will understand the importance of improving our KS2-4 progress and be able to implement a number of initiatives to improve it.

Lilian Baylis Technology School is a mixed, 11-19, inner city multicultural school located in a new building at Vauxhall, London. We have outstanding facilities including electronic whiteboards in all rooms and laptops for all staff. In February 2013 OfSTED stated we were 'outstanding in all aspects'. In addition our KS2-4 Value Added has been in the top 20% for the last 10 years and our KS4-5 Value Added was in the top 10% last year for academic and applied courses.
