The Isle of Wight Studio School is ambitious and aims to deliver learning through creative means. At the heart of our school is a commitment to promoting creativity and development through project based learning alongside more traditional core subject teaching. Our students follow personalised pathways enabling progression, challenge and support along with personal development. Coaching features heavily within our school, utilising personal coaches, trained in understanding young people and removing barriers to learning. We see our students as young employees and expect them to behave in ways that show they are both work-aware and work-ready.

As we enter our second year of operation we are seeking to appoint a Deputy Headteacher who will have responsibility for leading on school culture and raising standards.

The role will require clear vision, creativity, enthusiasm, the ability to work effectively within a team and a great deal of commitment.

Isle of Wight Studio School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school with sixth form in Isle of Wight, serving students from the age of 14-19. The secondary school, situated in East Cowes has approximately 400 students on record. It is sponsored by Inspire Academy Trust, which is part of Studio Schools, supported by the Studio Schools Trust.

Isle of Wight Studio School opened in 2014. The secondary school specilaises in Marine Manufacturing, Engineering and Offshore Energy. As a studio school, it focuses on providing vocational opportunities in industry, along with teaching the traditional curriculum.
