Our school community is looking for a leader who:

  • Is enthusiastic, passionate and creative about educating young children.
  • Is an aspirational and outstanding classroom practitioner with ability to inspire children and deliver exciting learning opportunities across the primary age range.
  • Has some experience of leading, coaching and motivating teaching staff and acting as an enthusiastic and positive role model.
  • Can take on the role of Inclusion Leader and/or subject leader in Maths, Jewish Education or another core area.
  • Will be passionate about promoting the vision and values of the school.
  • Can play a leading role in assessment and tracking children’s progress across the school.
  • Has strong knowledge and experience of the requirements of the EYFS, the new National Curriculum, recent developments in assessment and Ofsted.
  • Has excellent interpersonal skills and qualities to motivate and support colleagues and work with families
  • Has high expectations of a teacher’s performance, children’s achievement and behavior.
  • Would like to work as part of a team, contributing to professional development and school improvement.
  • Will initially not be a class teacher but may have some class teaching responsibilities.

Jewish experience, knowledge and Hebrew are definitely an advantage but not a requirement.

Eden Primary is a co-educational Jewish free school in Muswell Hill, North London, for children aged 4 to 11. It is a one-form-entry school that accepts children of all faiths and none.

Eden Primary focuses on academic excellence, achieved through an innovative curriculum incorporating both Jewish and general studies. Teachers have high expectations of all children. The school uses Jewish teaching as a source of knowledge, while promoting respect, understanding and positive relationships across the Jewish and wider community. Children of different backgrounds and beliefs learn from each other’s diversity and differences. 

Eden Primary aims to foster a love of nature, the environment and outdoor activity, so that children develop self-confidence and learn how to protect and take responsibility for the world around them.

“Teachers and support staff know the pupils very well and ensure that teaching meets the individual learning needs of each pupil. Teachers plan interesting lessons and pupils say that they enjoy coming to school. They read widely and confidently and use their reading, speaking and listening skills well in all the subjects that they study. Pupils are well prepared for the next stage in their education. The school articulates an exceptionally strong ethos, which is reflected in the good behaviour and positive attitudes of the pupils.”
