We are seeking to appoint Deputy Headteachers to work across our schools and join the Senior Leadership Team. In 2012, The Federation of Grazebrook and Shacklewell Primary Schools was formed after a successful two year partnership and since April 2014 Woodberry Down Community Primary school has been working in partnership with us. We now have a joint pupil roll of 1,500 pupils across three sites. We are looking to appoint Deputy Headteachers who are passionate about teaching and learning and are able to lead our schools to further success.

The key focus for the new Deputy Headteachers will be:

  • To work in partnership with the Executive Headteacher and Head of Schools in a strategic capacity, to drive the school forward.
  • To line manage middle leaders, enabling them to lead their own phase groups.
  • To demonstrate inspirational and outstanding teaching by developing excellent teaching across the schools in line with the new National curriculum and new Ofsted framework.
  • To ensure the best possible outcomes for all children.
  • To strengthen and maintain community links.
  • To lead on the development of assessment across a school, strategically analysing the next steps for the school.
  • You will also be required to deputise for the Head of School in their absence.

About The Federation of Grazebrook and Shacklewell Primary Schools

The Federation of Grazebrook and Shacklewell Primary Schools are seeking to appoint Federation Assistant Headteachers to work in our schools and join the Federation Senior Leadership Team. Both schools are two form entry primary schools and are in close proximity to one another. Grazebrook is in the Stoke Newington area and Shacklewell in the Dalston Kingsland area.

In our Federation we have a passion for high standards and want all our children to achieve their potential and be inspired to go beyond that. This role involves the overseeing of a core subject area in our schools and leading a key stage. You may also be required to deputise for the Heads of School in their absence. You will have a principle base school however as an employee of The Federation of Grazebrook and Shacklewell Primary Schools we may request you to work across the schools depending on the needs of the federation.
