The Bridge Academy opened in September 2007 and we cater for 900 students in Years 7-11, and a Sixth Form with 250 students.
Our specialisms are Music and Mathematics and we use them to drive innovation and creativity across the Academy. We set high standards for teaching and learning, and our students enjoy a varied, rich and broad curriculum.
Our award winning building in the South of Hackney is outstanding, with state of the art facilities for our students, staff and the local community.
We are seeking to appoint an outstanding Deputy SENDCo. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher who is passionate about transforming the lives of young people and is ready to take on more responsibility. The successful candidate will teach a range of other subjects, depending on their areas of expertise.
Do you have:
- A passion for supporting students with SEND?
- Outstanding classroom practice and high expectations of all learners?
- Experience in teaching both literacy and numeracy? (desirable, not essential)
- A creative and an imaginative approach to teaching and learning?
- A proven track record of raising attainment?
- Experience in developing partnerships with the community and external organisations?
- Expertise in using technology to enhance learning and teaching?

The Bridge Academy opened in September 2007. We educate 900 students in Years 7-11, and our Sixth Form caters for 250 students in Year 12 – 13.
