The islands of the Outer Hebrides are known for their outstanding natural beauty and unique and vibrant culture. The Comhairle is seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager with proven leadership qualities and a track record of delivering change programmes which focus on service delivery.

The Education & Children's Services Department is committed to providing a first class service, an inclusive quality culture, access and opportunity for all learners and a desire for continuous improvement. This must be delivered whilst appreciating the value and uniqueness of the physical and cultural environment of the Western Isles.

The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and negotiate when representing the Comhairle, enhancing its reputation and form positive relationships with Members and the community. They should evidence leadership skills and the ability to gain commitment and confidence of employees along with the ability to successfully manage change in a complex organisation.
