Director of English

The purpose of the role is to raise student attainment across E21C in the relevant subject.

To work with the academies to drive up standards of student attainment and achievement in the relevant subject in each of the academies.  

To monitor and evaluate the work of subject departments and to build their capacity to improve through mentoring, coaching, professional development and performance management as appropriate. 

To teach key examination groups from time to time in particular academies when the need arises. 

To identify best practice and ensure this is shared and spread across E21C.
