The Henley College is a highly popular and successful Sixth Form College in the heart of the Thames Valley. We are seeking to appoint a Director of Finance and Resources who will ensure the Corporation operates within its powers, follows agreed and proper financial procedures and puts in place an ambitious financial strategy while ensuring effective on-going financial control. The post holder will have a strong track record in financial planning and control at a senior level. The Director of Finance and Resources will report to the Principal and must be committed to the College Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Safeguarding values.

This is a full time position at Senior Leadership Team level. Salary up to £56,832 per annum.

The Henley College is a co-educational further education college based in Oxfordshire. It is a non-denominational college.

The college was created in 1987 and, in 2010, it was the first college in the UK to be granted a change of status to become a sixth form college.

The college is home to nearly 2,000 full-time students from over 100 schools across Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, and Oxfordshire. It offers a wide range of courses including over 60 A Level subjects and vocational diplomas, as well as apprenticeships and other opportunities.

For example, GCSE high grades are well above the rate of similar colleges for English and mathematics. A large number of apprentices achieve well above the national rate. Students enjoy college and attendance is high.”
