Mathematics Specialism required

We are seeking to appoint an ambitious Director of Learning and outstanding practitioner to ensure excellent attainment and achievement for our pupils in Mathematics and Science. This is a new position within the school.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • To be accountable to the Headteacher for the quality of teaching and learning and pupils’ progress in Mathematics and Science.
  • To help establish sustainable, quality leadership at all levels.
  • To line manage the Subject Leaders of Mathematics and Science.

We are looking for an inspirational individual with determination, enthusiasm, sensitivity, resilience, strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to motivate both teachers and young people.

The successful applicant will join a team of forward thinking hard working senior leaders, passionately committed to Purbrook Park’s future success as a high achieving school.

Purbrook Park School is a mixed, non-selective, non-denominational secondary school in Hampshire, serving pupils from the ages of 11-16. The secondary school is situated in Purbrook, Waterlooville and has approximately 675 students on record.   

Purbrook Park School opened in 1924, then known as Purbrook Park County High School. In April 2015, new sports pitches and IT facilities were built.

Purbrook Park School offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities for students to get involved with outside of the classroom, ranging from drama and sports to the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
