As from September 2015 we are looking to appoint a permanent Director of Mathematics & Associate SLT. East Leake is an oversubscribed academy based in rural Leicestershire whose popularity continues to grow. Due to a retirement we are seeking an inspirational and highly motivated teacher to lead this extremely successful and vibrant department and inspire both staff and students to achieve the best possible outcomes. You will be responsible for raising standards of student attainment and achievement in Mathematics and will monitor and support student progress. The successful candidate will have evidence of improved student outcomes and the experience of teaching across all key stages.

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher with the ability, experience and skills to play a pivotal role in maximising the learning potential of students in the Mathematics Department and the wider school.

The department is a collaborative and enthusiastic team that pride themselves on supporting each other in order to deliver a high quality learning experience for all students. Maths have a suite of rooms all equipped with modern technology facilities. You will be leading a faculty that delivered strong results again in 2014 with 78% of students achieving A*-C in GCSE Maths, 74% 3LOP and 38% 4LOP. Post 16 outcomes are equally impressive, evidencing the impact of excellent teaching and learning over time.

You will also have the opportunity to realise your leadership vision for Mathematics at this key time of significant change within a supportive environment that develops aspiring individuals through extensive CPD opportunities.
