Job overview

We are looking for an exceptional individual to join the Central Services team at SELCAT as our new Director of Standards (Secondary). We currently have 4 secondary schools with one Sixth Form. Our new Director of Standards (Secondary) will work closely with the CEO and the schools leadership to develop and embed a long term Trust Strategy that delivers effective and robust school improvement.

This is a demanding role in a challenging environment where we expect the very best from everyone in our team. Our Catholic Ethos and Mission is at the heart of everything we do and we except candidates to share those values.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have extensive previous experience of working as part of a Senior Leadership Team
  • Be able to demonstrate success at leading school improvement and raising education standards for children
  • Possess the ability to empower staff and include them in the next stages of the schools journey
  • An excellent written and verbal communicator
  • Align to the mission, vision and values of SELCAT and the Diocese
