As the successful candidate you will be responsible for one of the largest support areas of the College. The Directorate provides a comprehensive range of support services which include tutorial, reception, call centre, information advice and guidance, careers education, student finance, admissions, counselling, Student Union and enrichment. It also includes the responsibility for a 63 place nursery, with an annual income averaging £420,000, which provides services to the children of students and staff.

You must have a good understanding of and demonstrable commitment to safeguarding children and adults at risk of harm, along with a detailed understanding of Ofsted/QAA and other essential kite mark processes and expectations and evidence of contributing to successful achievement. Having 5 years’ experience of successfully managing a broad range of student support services related activity in an FE setting which also has HE provision is desirable.

The ability to remain up to date with legislation and Ofsted/QAA/kite mark/safeguarding requirements and embed them into college activity, a level 5/6 or equivalent professional qualification and Safeguarding qualification are all essential for this role.
