Summary of Role

To help support our customer base, we are currently recruiting for a Doddle Education Manager to cover Central England and North London.

The Education Managers are the lead contact with key individuals in the SLT at our most important customer schools. Through these relationships we provide wide-ranging and in-depth support to teaching and learning in their schools. Our aim is to add value to the way in which they use Doddle. You will work with them to plan how Doddle can support improvements in teaching and learning throughout their schools and how this plan can be implemented.

Vital to your role will be developing relationships with these influential Doddle advocates in order to help sell and market Doddle even more broadly. The roles are field-based with the majority of time spent in a wide variety of different schools throughout your region.

About Doddle and Boardworks

Doddle is a highly successful integrated homework, assessment and teaching package launched by Boardworks in September 2012. Since launch, over 1,000 secondary schools have started using Doddle, and the core of the role is working with the most important of these customers to maximise their experience of the product.

Boardworks is a long established curriculum content producer, with products in 95% of UK secondary schools. Boardworks also publishes products for various international markets: we have a subsidiary in the US (based in New York) which sells our US products; we publish products for the Australian market; and we sell extensively to international schools in over 60 countries.

Role Details:

a) Customer relations

  • Manage the relationship with the SLT at customer schools: agree what they are looking to achieve by using Doddle, and establish the process of launching Doddle, providing staff training, promotion, management and reporting within the school.
  • Agree specific initiatives to be implemented with the school, and metrics for the initiatives: arranging appropriate training, communication and other implementation to support these goals; feeding back on results to the SLT, and agreeing ongoing revisions to the goals.
  • Secure customer subscription renewals.

b) Sales and Marketing

  • Develop sales referrals from existing customers.
  • Develop relationships with key individuals who are positive about their experience of Doddle.
  • Share your existing teaching experience with the sales teams. This will include understanding school organisational structures, pedagogy, how Doddle can help, how we implement and train Doddle, and more.

c) Pedagogical and Development

  • Continue the development of teaching and learning initiatives that we implement with customers. Continue to develop clear models of implementation and evidence of success.
  • To input into the ongoing functional and content development of Doddle, based on how you observe Doddle being used in schools.

Ideal profile (in priority order)

  • Influencing and selling skills
  • Commercial relationship building skills
  • Secondary teachers: we are especially looking for a candidate with a maths or science teaching background
  • A minimum of 2 years’ qualified teacher experience
  • A commercial mindset
