An enthusiastic, highly motivated Dramatherapist is required to join the Arts Therapy Service at the Eden Academy.

The post will be based at Grangewood School. Grangewood is a school for primary age children who have severe learning difficulties and autism.

Dance Movement Therapy, Dramatherapy and Music Therapy are well established in the school and the post offers:

  • Strong and positive emphasis on multidisciplinary working
  • Working as part of a therapy team with dance movement, drama and music therapists within the Eden Academy schools; team supervision by a psychotherapist provided twice a term
  • Opportunities to deliver sessions with other professionals
  • Funding for regular individual supervision by a registered supervisor

A successful candidate will have the following:

  • Experience in working with young people with learning difficulties
  • Experience of working with groups and individuals
  • Able to work jointly with other arts therapists
  • Experience in working in a school setting
  • Experience in working as part of a Multidisciplinary team

Grangewood School is a co-educational day school for primary age children with severe learning difficulties. We cater for children aged from 3 years to 11 years of age.
