Scale 3 Point 14-17  £19,644-£20,775 (full time) or Scale 4 Point 18-21  £21,119-£23,145 (full time) depending on the experience of the successful candidate

39 weeks – term time only or 52 weeks 35 hours per week – all year round   

(If working for 52 weeks you will be entitled to 33 days paid holiday during the year including 8 public holidays. We only close the Activity Centre during the two-week school Christmas holiday and for one week at Easter. Part of your holiday entitlement has to be taken in these weeks we are closed).

The successful applicant’s predominant role in our Activity Centre will be in developing and delivering high quality childcare and education for children aged 0– 5 years. The post will also include supporting the development of integrated care and play of the highest quality for children aged 5-16 years who access the Activity Centre.

You will need to:

  • Be qualified at NNEB, NVQ L3 or equivalent
  • Have a minimum of 2 years consecutive experience working in early years’ educational settings
  • Have a clear understanding of the specific requirements applicable to 0 to 36 months old children’s care
  • Show initiative and be passionate about working with children and young people in a multi disciplinary environment within a hospital
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced, high quality environment that embraces change
  • Be resilient with a ‘can do’ attitude and a good sense of fun
