The Cairo British School is situated in Ismailia Road in Cairo. Our aim is to provide the best teaching and learning environment in which all our pupils will achieve their best academically, physically and socially.
We are seeking to recruit dedicated, qualified and experienced teachers in our Primary School. The primary school has less than 100 pupils and will appeal to those who like a more personal environment.
You should be suitably qualified and flexible, talented and creative enough to work in a challenging stimulating environment. Knowledge of the British Curriculum is desirable. NQT teachers will be considered.
The attractive package includes annual flight allowance, good medical care plan and a housing allowance.

CBS is a small International school in a lovely, tree lined avenue in Mohandesseen. We are a co-educational English medium, British Curriculum school that caters for students from Nursery to Year 6. The School is a member of the Council Of International Schools (CIS).
We are rather unique in Cairo as we only have about 140 children and are housed in a pretty converted villa.
We have children from 27 countries and many of them are 'Embassy' children.
We pride ourselves on our family atmosphere where each child is valued. We believe that unhappy children do not learn. Our goal is to make everyone in our learning community happy. The learning and teaching environment at CBS is shaped by an understanding of what children can achieve and by teaching that meets their individual needs as learners.
CBS teaches the National Curriculum of England and Wales, applying the same educational standards as are offered in England, with modifications attuned to our host country. Subjects offered at CBS include English, Mathematics, Science, Art & Design, Music, Geography, History, Religious Studies, ICT, PE, Design Technology and Personal Social Health Education. English is the language of instruction and French is offered from Year 1. Arabic is taught throughout the school.
